The project requirement was to provide a flexible learning space that needed a suitable acoustic movable wall between the laboratory classrooms. The classrooms needed to allow separate examinations to occur simultaneously. An acoustic pass door was required to allow Laboratory Technicians to set up experiments and equipment.

Arrowhive specified the moveable wall ‘System AW’ which it also recently installed at the University of Southampton. The system benefits from ease of operation, acoustic performance and pleasing aesthetics.

The system gives spatial versatility; suspended from the head track at two points providing a more stable panel when manoeuvring. This system is much more versatile by allowing the panel stacks to be located off centre from the track so the panels can be stored in a more convenient and aesthetic pleasing position. This system is particularly useful for multi use areas such as conference, training and banqueting suites.
